We are incredibly grateful that so many of you are traveling to celebrate with us.
Fortunately, this particular corner of California is not a terrible place to find oneself for a weekend.
Our wedding will take place at Rincon Creek Ranch, tucked into the hills above Carpinteria. Guests will find plenty of places to stay nearby, from relaxed beach-town hotels in Carpinteria to historic inns in Montecito and waterfront hotels in Santa Barbara.
There is no single “right” place to stay. Choose whichever version of the weekend sounds most like you.
Stay in Carpinteria
Best all-around practical choice - Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carpinteria
Recently renovated and about 0.7 miles from both downtown Carpinteria and Carpinteria State Beach. Rooms are unusually spacious, breakfast is included, and there's a heated outdoor pool and whirlpool. For guests primarily concerned with having a comfortable home base close to the wedding, this is probably the easiest recommendation.

A little more California character - Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn
A Spanish-style property with landscaped courtyards, conveniently located in Carpinteria with easy access to the beach, restaurants and Highway 101.

A little farther south
For the guest who came to California for the ocean - Cliff House Inn
This one is technically south of Carpinteria on the Rincon coast, but it's an interesting alternative: a small oceanfront inn with a pool, coastal setting and onsite restaurant.
Stay in Montecito
Historic and charming - Montecito Inn
The Montecito Inn sits in the heart of Montecito and specifically accommodates wedding groups and room blocks. Guests are within walking distance of Coast Village Road and Butterfly Beach, and the hotel has a pool, fitness center, bicycles and onsite dining.
The magnificent, completely unnecessary, thoroughly tempting option - Rosewood Miramar Beach
If you've decided that attending our wedding is also an excellent excuse for a luxury vacation, we respect your reasoning.
The Miramar is a full oceanfront resort in Montecito, with rooms and suites directly along the Pacific, restaurants, spa and resort amenities. It is emphatically the splurge option.
Stay in Santa Barbara
Quiet waterfront option - Santa Barbara Inn
A 70-room boutique hotel on Cabrillo Boulevard overlooking the Pacific. This would suit guests who want Santa Barbara and the ocean without necessarily being in the busiest part of downtown.
Best for beach + exploring on foot - Hotel Milo Santa Barbara
Hotel Milo sits across from West Beach and only a couple of blocks from State Street, Stearns Wharf and the Funk Zone. It has pools, hot tub, beach cruisers and a relaxed hacienda-style layout.
Hotel Californian
For the stylish weekend away - Hotel Californian
A design-forward 121-room hotel essentially at the gateway to the Funk Zone, steps from State Street, restaurants, tasting rooms and the waterfront.
